Power flushing

If your radiators have cold spots, your boiler is noisy, or your system takes a long time to heat up, sludge and rust deposits in the system are likely responsible. A power flush uses high-velocity, chemically-treated water to remove this buildup, restoring heating efficiency and protecting the boiler heat exchanger from damage.

We typically recommend fitting a magnetic system filter at the same time to catch any future debris before it accumulates. A power flush for a typical 3-bed house takes around half a day.

Smart heating controls

Upgrading to a smart thermostat such as a Nest, Hive, or Tado can reduce heating bills by up to 30% by learning your routine and only heating when needed. We supply and fit all major brands and can integrate smart controls with your existing system or a new boiler installation.

Common questions

Central heating FAQ.

This is almost always caused by trapped air. Bleeding the radiator releases it. If bleeding doesn't fix it, or it keeps happening, there may be a sludge buildup in the system requiring a power flush.
A power flush uses high-velocity, chemically-treated water to remove rust, sludge, and scale from your central heating system. Signs you need one include cold spots on radiators, noisy pipes or boiler, or slow heating. It typically costs £300–£500 and significantly extends boiler life.
Adding a new radiator typically costs £200–£400 including the radiator, pipework, and fitting — depending on distance from existing pipework. We give fixed written quotes before starting.
